Gokul Group forays into realty sector

Ahmedabad: Gokul Group, a multinational conglomerate having interest in edible oil refining & power generation, today entered realty sector with the launch of one of the biggest and costliest residential land project of Gujarat - 'SWA'.
The residential expanse, situated near Chandkheda in Ahmedabad, is spread over 60 acres and blessed with natural beauty includinga well-crafted green canyon covering an area of around 50,000 square yards.With ten pulsating acres of green open space at the heart of the expanse, the central canyon will traverse through the entire neighborhood and soaring up to twenty feet at the Shikara and dipping down fifty feet at the JalKund, creating a sense of movement from piety to pleasure.
GokulRefoils and Solvent Ltd (GRSL), the flagship company of the group, is one of the leading FMCG companies in India with international presence, dealing in edible oils and Industrial oils. It is also an ISO 22000:2005 certified company. The company supplies its products to United States, South Korea, European Union, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam and owns four production plants in Gujarat and West Bengal
GokulRefoils& Solvent Ltd and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) are also in the process of setting up an 80 MW lignite-based thermal power station near Tadkeshwar in Surat district with equity ratio of of 74:26. The likely investment in the project is about Rs.460 crore.
