Munoth launched mobile phones in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Munoth Communication Limited, a Chennai-based listed company is entering to the fast growing mobile handset market by launching own branded mobile phones in Ahmedabad. The company is making a foray in to mobile handset market after conducting a detailed study of the customer preferences in the country.

The consumer in India has distinct and unique tastes like dual Sim cards, Fm Radio on speaker, embedded torch, dual memory cards etc. The Indian brands of mobile handsets have grown as they have recognized these unique requirements of Indian consumers.

MCL has entered into arrangement with leading mobile phone makers in China to launch green, healthy and powerful handsets. Currently, China manufacturers around 80% of the mobiles phones in the world having nearly 6,000 vendors. Most of these vendors are small belonging to unorganized sector. But, MCL has selected leading companies like Changhong Communications Ltd, Shenzhen, China and Zechin Mobile International Ltd, Hong Kong who have state of art manufacturing facilities. Changhong Communication Limited is listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange and has sales over US $ 2.2 billion. The phones manufactured by them are known for low radiation and longer battery life. (19-2)
