RIL sends CSR team from Gujarat to Andhra Pradesh

By ENN, Ahmedabad: The top management of the Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), under chairman Mukesh Ambani, has geared up the help the flood-affected people of the Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh, sensing the gravity of the situation created by the flooding there earlier this month.

Rajya Sabha member Parimal Nathwani, group president for corporate affairs at RIL, mobilised a six-member CSR team from Gujarat with an action plan to join the Andhra Pradesh team of RIL, on October 5.

Reliance Industries Ltd has also donated the amount of Rs11.11 crore to the chief minister's relief fund. PMS Prasad, executive director, RIL, and PVL Madhava Rao, AP coordinator, met chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, K Rosaiah, at his office on October 13 and presented him with a cheque for Rs11.11 crore.
