Gujarat Electricity seeks 1.5 mln T coal for 2010

Gandhinagar: India's Gujarat Electricity Board is seeking 1.5 million tonnes of steam coal for delivery in 2010 traders said on Tuesday.

The offer deadline is October 14.

GEB is likely to be offered Indonesian coal in the tender, traders said.

"The MMTC tender and GEB are the only two big tenders left this year for the Indian market. Apart from them there are only small enquiries," one Indian trader offering into GEB said.
