Two Jain Sadhvis killed, three injured in road accident

By ENN, Rajkot: Two Jain Sadhvis were killed and three others seriously injured when a speeding truck mowed down them near Limbdi about 120 km from here on Rajkot-Ahmedabad Highway today.

According to police, the victims were on their way to Limbdi on foot from nearby place.

The deceased have been identified as Nirjarabai Swami and Suvidhabai Swami, who were belonged to Ajramar Sthankwasi Jain Sect, police said and added that the injured Sadhvis were admitted to Sal Hospital in Ahmedabad.

Four Jain Sadhvis and two Jain monks in North Gujarat were killed by similar way in November 2009 which sparked of protest by the Jain community and it had taken out silent rallies in Saurashtra and other parts of Gujarat.
