ONGC Mehsana Asset celebrates Republic Day with great enthusiasm
By ENN, Mehsana: ONGC Mehsana, the largest onshore oil producing Asset, celebrated 61th Republic Day with traditional fervour and gaiety at the Ambedkar Stadium. Mr.Ashok Gupta, ED-Asset Manager hoisted the National Tricolour and accepted the ceremonial salute at an impressive march past by contingents of CISF, SRP,ONGC Security & fire personals, Scouts Guides of KV.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr.Gupta extended his best wishes to all the employees, their families and special invitees from near by villagers on Republic Day and he also extended special wishes to ONGCians who all working in Onshore Assets. He reminded the employees about the contribution of the founding fathers who made it possible for everyone to stand together to breathe the fresh air of freedom and democracy. Today our nation took place of a super power, one of the largest democratic countries in the world. Now India is the fastest growing economy. ONGC is also responsible for this transformation of India into a competitive beautiful nation.
Today when we celebrate Republic Day, I would like you to remember Shri K.D. Malviyaji who envisioned that India would be self sufficient in the sphere of oil and natural gas. "I would also like you to remember the foresightness of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, for which we have reached wherever we are today in the arena of exploration and production of oil," he said.
We in Mehsana Asset are striving hard to meet the oil production targets and we are within the striking distance of achieving that, he informed. "Yet, we cannot rest on these laurels. We have to press hard and perform, do it right all the time. We cannot endure any more let ups.
Asset Manager also elaborated on corporate citizenship policy of ONGC which has been given a renewed thrust on socio- economic activities within the operational areas of the asset. The activities include Health camps pertaining to general medical check-ups and treatment, eye camps and providing medical equipments periodically and promoting education, sports and culture. We are more attentive on computer education, health care, community development, drinking water, social & cultural development etc. he informed.
He added that we have every year spent lakhs of rupees for down trodden people of these areas under annual component plan. "It a matter of pride that the Asset Fire service rewarded once again for best fire services from all over fire services of ONGC, said Mr. Gupta.
During the past one year asset had achieved various records;
1.664 MMT oil production already gained in first three quarter of this year which is about 97 % of the target
Drilling services already drilled 45 wells against the target of 30 wells.
42,675 tonnes oil production gained against target of 25,567 its means achieved 167 per cent through development drilling
344 work-over jobs completed against 363 jobs, 1,04890 MMT oil production gained against target of 173771 MMT . hence 166 per cent target achieved.
460 TPD production achieved from well zones transfer and 60 TPD from Schlumberger- Hydro fracturing from 5 jobs
100 new chemical Dosing Pump installed for maintaining constant flow from 50 PDB Per aphonic wells
Mr Gupta also highlighted the operational activities of the Asset. The school children and members of the Mahila Samiti presented a variety of programmes on the occasion. The ED-Asset Manager also gave the merit certificates and group awards for the meritorious work and innovative ideas and performance by the individuals and different services away.
